Job summary

TCP Analytical in Charlotte, NC is seeking an entry-level chemist to support production and lab activities, including preparing batch chemical solutions, performing QC checks, and documenting results.

Qualifications

About the Role

We are looking for an Entry-Level Chemist at our location in Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities
  • Manufacture batch chemical solutions, while properly reading production documentation and recording necessary data.
  • Perform QC measurements (typically wet chemistry methods) on manufactured and other finished chemical products.
  • Provide technical service to customers, including phone support, written documentation, and email.
  • Perform duties in compliance with an established ISO 9001 system and all appropriate regulatory requirements (e.g OSHA, GHS, DOT, EPA, etc.).
  • Generate and/or approve any necessary job-related documents, including production paperwork, QC documentation, and product labels.
  • Provide guidance to production and packaging technicians.
  • Engage with management regarding quality policy, production efficiency, process improvement, and problem solving.
  • Perform all assignments in a safe and cautious manner.
Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Chemistry or a related discipline is required. Analytical chemistry experience is a plus.

Required Skills
  • The candidate must be able to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment.
  • The position includes exposure to a chemical environment, including both production and laboratory settings.
  • The candidate must be comfortable with the setting and with the use of all proper safety equipment, including respirators.
  • Physical requirements include sitting, standing, pushing/pulling, climbing, and lifting (up to 50 lbs.).
  • Mental requirements include general, verbal, and numerical intelligence, as well as coordination of eyes, hands, and feet.
