Job summary

SGS Consulting in Provo, UT seeks a Laboratory Technician to maintain safety and compliance in the lab and work areas. You will prepare, maintain, and review records for solutions and samples, and support investigations into out-of-spec results.

You will also revise SOPs and test methods, assist with send-outs and stability program activities, and help with routine lab operations including glassware washing and receiving materials.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of laboratory experience or recent graduates.
• Solid understanding of basic scientific principles and experiment management.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and compliance in the lab and work areas.
• Prepare, maintain, and review records and documentation on solutions and samples.
• Support investigations into Out of Specification/Out of Trend results or other laboratory events.
• Revise documentation such as SOPs, test methods and specifications.
• Support send-out of materials for contract laboratory testing.
• Assist with verification of compendial methods.
• Assist with stability program sampling and statistical analyses.
• Execute projects of limited to moderate scope as assigned.
• Assist with sampling of incoming materials as needed.
• Routine lab operations: washing/cleaning glassware and receiving materials.

• Responsible for maintaining safety and compliance standards in the laboratory and work areas.
• Responsible for preparing, maintaining and reviewing thorough records, documentation on solutions, sample preparation and investigational/experimental samples.
• Responsible for supporting laboratory investigations into Out of Specification/Out of Trend results or other laboratory events.
• Responsible for performing revisions to documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures, Test Methods and Specifications.
• Responsible for supporting the send-out of materials for contract laboratory testing.
• Responsible for assisting with verification of compendial methods.
• Responsible for assisting with activities associated with the stability program including sampling and statistical analyses.
• Responsible for executing projects of a limited to moderate scope as assigned.
• Responsible for assisting with activities related to the sampling of incoming materials as needed.
• Responsible for the routine operation of the laboratory; washing and cleaning of glasswareResponsible for receiving activities related to incoming materials and goods for the laboratory.

Skills

• Prefer 1-2 years’ experience (will consider recent graduates)
