Job summary

Brenntag Great Lakes, LLC is seeking a Warehouse Operator in Chicago, IL. The role involves loading/unloading liquid and dry chemicals, operating forklifts, repackaging, labeling, and maintaining precise inventory records in a fast-paced environment.

You'll climb tanks and railcars, inspect equipment, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements while working with various products and processes. OT/weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; US military experience acceptable.
• Forklift Operators certification required and ability to operate a forklift safely.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and carry out detailed English instructions; basic math.
• Capability to lift and move bags, boxes, pallets; physically demanding role.
• Experience with chemical operations is valued but not required.

Responsibilities

• Receive/unload and prepare/load liquid and dry chemical products from/to trucks, tankers, and railcars.
• Operate powered and manual industrial lift trucks and maintain forklift checklist.
• Repackage product into proper containers for storage or shipment with proper labeling.
• Maintain accurate receiving/shipping logs and record product quantities.
• Inspect tanks, tankers and railcars before and after loading/unloading operations; verify documents.
