Job summary

Ball Corporation is seeking a Chemical Technician to ensure smooth operation of production equipment and chemical processes in an aluminum can manufacturing environment. This entry‑level role involves monitoring processes, maintaining equipment, and upholding safety and quality standards.

The position features 12‑hour rotating shifts (6am-6pm / 6pm-6am) with a 2-3-2 schedule and a rotating day/night cycle every 4 weeks. Onsite work, safety awareness, and teamwork are essential to success.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of job related experience (preferred with hazardous chemicals).
• High School Diploma or Equivalent (additional technical training or coursework in chemistry or related fields).
• Safety certifications (e.g., OSHA) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Chemical Process Monitoring: oversee and control chemical processes to ensure consistent product quality and adherence to specifications.
• Equipment Operation and Maintenance: operate production machinery and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Safety Compliance: adhere to safety standards and regulations, handling chemicals and equipment responsibly to prevent accidents.
• Quality Assurance: conduct quality checks and implement improvements to maintain high standards in product output.
• Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: identify and resolve issues promptly, following established procedures to maintain continuous operations.
• Documenting and Reporting: maintain activities, and any incidents, ensuring clear communication with supervisors and team members.
