Job summary

Bargreen Ellingson in Bend, Oregon is seeking a Chemical and Dish machine Service Technician to provide quality service in a courteous, safe manner aligned with our On-Board Values. You will install and maintain chemical dispensers and dish machines across restaurants and care facilities, perform preventative maintenance, and respond to service calls.

This is a full-time, on-site role requiring strong communication, teamwork, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state driver license with clean record.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong time management and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain chemical dispensers at customer sites.
• Install and maintain dish machines from under the counter to conveyors.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure equipment functions properly.
• Respond to emergency service calls during business hours and on-call periods.
• Build positive relationships with customers, sales reps, and suppliers.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork and safety compliance.

Job description

We are seeking a qualified Chemical and Dish machine Service Technician who will be responsible for providing quality service in a courteous, respectful, and safe manner which aligns with our On-Board Values.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage their given territory with exceptional service to customer accounts.
• Install and maintain chemical dispensers at restaurants, laundry, grocery and health care facilities.
• Install and maintain dish machines from under the counter to conveyor units at restaurants, grocery and health care facilities.
• Conduct routine and thorough preventative maintenance visits at customer accounts to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
• Respond to and resolve emergency service calls during business hours (after hours/weekends when on call).
• Create and maintain positive relationships with key individuals (customers, territory sales reps, suppliers, and co-workers).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Professional, flexible, and positive team player.
• Outstanding relationship-building skills coupled with a high degree of responsiveness and integrity.
• Ability to work in high-pressure, customer-facing environments.

Minimum Qualifications

• Warewash, laundry, or similar experience are a plus.
• Valid state driver license with clean driving record.

• Work schedule may include nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours with the possibility of mandatory overtime and on-call status.

Physical Requirements

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and arms to finger, handle, feel, or carry; reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance or stoop; kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Frequently required to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Constant use of hand truck to lift, move and place items.
• Must be able to safely tolerate heat or other inclement weather.
• Ability to use power tools as needed.
