Job summary

Activ8 Recruitment & Solutions is sourcing a Production Engineer for a large international chemical manufacturer in the Troy, Ohio area. The role is full-time with multiple shifts, focusing on supervising production associates and driving continuous improvements.

The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, a engineering degree preferred, and strong leadership and communication skills to operate in a multicultural environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred or equivalent work experience.
• 1–3 years’ experience in production supervision or equivalent leadership in manufacturing.
• CPR/OSHA/First Aid certifications are a plus but not required.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Understanding of continuous improvement processes.
• Excellent communication and leadership in a multicultural environment.
• Role involves manufacturing and warehousing; physical requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Supervise shift production associates and participate in hiring and training; oversee performance reviews and timekeeping.
• Lead daily and weekly team meetings for associates and team leaders.
• Assist in production planning, scheduling, and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety requirements (OSHA, etc.).
• Coordinate with all shifts/departments to ensure timely completion, shipment, and delivery of products.
• Create production documentation and activity reports for upper management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
