Job summary

American Water in Peoria, IL is seeking a Production Technician to operate chemical feed systems, perform process control testing and analysis, and maintain equipment to ensure safe, reliable water treatment operations.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of maintenance experience preferred.
• High School Diploma.
• Experience with process testing and calibration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operates chemical feed systems and performs required process control testing and analysis.
• Fills day tanks.
• Calibrates chemical feed pumps, including checking chemical feeds at outlying stations that may be required.
• Receives and tests chemical deliveries.
• Performs routine maintenance and housekeeping, depending on actual working assignment.
• Performs relief duties for shift treatment Operator, as required or as assigned.
