Job summary

Hawkins, Inc. is seeking a chemical operator to operate, handle, and maintain production equipment safely while achieving production and quality standards.

Responsibilities include operating, monitoring, and controlling processes, recording data, and performing routine maintenance. The role requires a high school diploma, 6 months of experience, forklift ability, and basic computer skills. Shift 10:00am–6:00pm with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months experience as a chemical operator or equivalent.
• Ability to safely operate an industrial forklift.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate and understand (both written and verbal) complex and/or technical operations and procedures.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Office; ERP/MRP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Knowing the equipment and process operation; handle, store, transfer, and transport chemical material; operate, monitor.
• Control continuous and batch processes; manual and automated operation of the process per SOPs.
• Communicate compliance, safety, and equipment needs as identified.
• Accurately and completely fill out required paperwork and record operating data.
• Provide routine minor maintenance to process equipment and instrumentation.
• Apply product quality and safety standards and report any product safety incidents.
• Operate safely while complying with all SOPs and environmental, safety, and health regulations.
• Perform other miscellaneous related duties as needed.
