Job summary

Solstice Advanced Materials is seeking a chemical plant operator in Baton Rouge to join our facility. This role requires 12-hour rotating shifts, monitoring controllers, performing routine inspections, and making process adjustments to meet safety and production targets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to work 12 hour rotating shifts.
• Valid driver’s license.
• TWIC Card eligible.

Responsibilities

• Participates in continuous improvement events and routinely participates in 5S activities.
• Observes data from controllers and recorders to make process changes and troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment.
• Redirects or shuts off feeder lines during emergencies and alerts supervisor of action taken.
• Participates on process improvement teams.
• Makes routine inspections of operating areas and reports irregularities.
• Performs housekeeping duties in the area.
• Hazardous waste sampling, packaging/loading, and related duties.
