Job summary

Cornerstone-Chemical-Company in Avondale, LA is seeking a Production Engineer to provide production/process engineering support for the Utilities plant, establishing targets and driving actions to reduce energy use, improve yields, minimize waste, and maintain safety and environmental compliance.

You will collaborate across Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supervision to implement process changes, run plant experiments, develop PFDs, and contribute to cost reductions while maintaining

Qualifications

BS in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
0-5 years of experience in process/production engineering.
Experience in a chemical, petrochemical or petroleum facility.
Knowledge of process modeling & simulation software such as ASPEN or HYSYS.

Responsibilities

Monitor plant processes and product quality; provide troubleshooting support.
Monitor energy consumption and material usage; guide operators.
Maintain operating variable control ranges and communicate deviations.
Collaborate across Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supervision to improve efficiency.
Execute plant experiments, report results, and implement changes.
Design small-scale projects and initiate continuous improvement initiatives.
Develop PFDs and energy balances; support environmental reporting.
Provide RCA, PHA, and PSM assistance; assist in resolving upsets.
