Job summary

Accounting Search is seeking a Process/Production Engineer to support daily chemical plant operations, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with PSM regulations. The role covers troubleshooting, mass balance work, and coordination of process improvements across unit operations.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Chemical Engineering with 3+ years in PSM environments, experienced in Lean/Six Sigma and process safety initiatives, and is eligible to work in the USA without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical Engineering with 3+ years of process/production engineering experience in PSM environments.
• Experience with Lean/Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, PHA, MOC, P&IDs.
• Familiar with unit operations and controls including reactors, distillation, polymerization, esterification, filtration, dryers, twin-screw extrusion, heat treatment.
• Ability to work in the USA without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Involved in day to day production support for batch/continuous chemical operations including troubleshooting and problem solving of process/equipment issues.
• Track Production Yields and Perform Mass Balances
• Handle process improvement projects.
• Lead continuous improvements in safety, productivity, quality, reliability and cost.
• Support process downtime and runtime.
• Involved with production and material planning, packaging, shipping, and receiving.
• Participate in PSM initiatives and audits.
• Implement change management processes including MOC, PSSR, P&ID, hazard reviews, SOPs, SPC, SQC.
• Lead incident investigations and problem-solving sessions (safety, quality, production, reliability, etc.)
• Assist with Training of Operations Teams.
