Job summary

Seaman Corporation is seeking a Chemical Process Engineer to join our Wooster Engineering team. The role focuses on directing manufacturing activities to support process improvement, daily management, and safety, with emphasis on improving safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

You will report to the Process Engineering Manager and work across enterprise initiatives to ensure alignment of engineering activities and continuous improvement in production processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Chemistry with 2–5 years related manufacturing experience.
• Lean Manufacturing knowledge is preferred.
• Web handling experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support safety programs and initiatives to ensure safe work environment.
• Provide technical leadership for process and quality teams in troubleshooting and improvements.
• Monitor operations to ensure compliance with approved methods and standards.
• Develop and maintain Standard Work Procedures and Process Specifications.
• Coordinate smaller project plans and track progress to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Support Lean Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement initiatives.
