Job summary

Edgewater Technical Associates seeks a Chemical Process Engineer for the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN. The role supports the Mechanical Project Design group and will contribute to design efforts from feasibility to detailed design.

The ideal candidate holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering (ABET-accredited) with 10+ years of experience in process design of complex nuclear or chemical facilities and the ability to obtain DOE Q security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Mechanical Project Design group.

  • Develop flowsheets, process flow diagrams, and P&IDs; perform analyses and calculations; prepare reports and Process Descriptions.

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Chemical Process Engineer opportunity in Oak Ridge, TN at the Y-12 National Security Complex.

Description:

The Chemical Process Engineer will support the Mechanical Project Design group.

  • Chemical engineering project support includes participation in designs ranging from scope definition, feasibility and conceptual studies, and preliminary/detailed designs.
  • Tasks include flowsheet development (block diagrams, process flow diagrams, and P&IDs), analyses and calculations, reports/studies and Process Descriptions preparation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • 10 – 20+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in process design of complex nuclear or chemical facilities
Other Job Requirements:
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain DOE Q Security Clearance. Active Q preferred.
