Job summary

Richardson Electronics, Ltd. in LaFox, IL is seeking a Chemical Process Technician II to support plating and wastewater treatment operations.

The role focuses on preparing, maintaining, and analyzing plating baths, and ensuring safe handling of chemicals in accordance with process instructions. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of plating experience, copper, nickel, and silver plating skills, and familiarity with hazardous waste handling and safety training.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in plating and cleaning operation.
• Must have copper, nickel, and silver plating experience.
• Experience with wastewater treatment systems desirable and safety training required.

Responsibilities

• Plates, cleans, and treats components according to process instructions and trains others on plating.
• Keeps written records and documentation per ISO-9001 and supervisor guidance.
• Mixes chemicals per written procedures and inspects work by measurement or gauge.
• Operates plating analysis equipment to inspect product quality and adjusts equipment as needed.
• Maintains and disposes of chemical waste per regulations and company policy.
• Supports wastewater treatment monitors and controls.
