Job summary

Richardson Electronics, Ltd. is seeking an Electroplating Supervisor in LaFox, IL to oversee plating operations and supervise chemical operators.

The role emphasizes safety, quality control, and environmental compliance while maintaining manufacturing records and process improvements. The position requires a chemistry background or extensive plating experience, with a focus on hazardous waste handling and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Requires formal training in Chemistry or related degree, or 10–15 years plating/production experience.
Must ensure safety, quality, and compliance in plating operations.
Experience with wastewater treatment and hazardous waste handling is strongly desired.

Responsibilities

Performs and oversees plating operations meeting thickness, adhesion, and finish standards.
Trains operators in plating bath operation and troubleshooting.
Maintains plating bath chemistry by reviewing reports and adjusting as needed.
Maintains inventory of chemicals and supplies, and ensures records are accurate.
Operates and maintains XRF Thickness Tester and generates required certifications.
Ensures ISO-9001 compliance and monitors departmental spending.
