Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking personnel for the Columbus Plant to support day-to-day operations. This role involves shift work (D Shift: 6:00pm–6:00am, 2-2-3 schedule) and requires adherence to safety programs and ISO standards.

Responsibilities include cleaning vessels, operating equipment, handling hazardous waste, and assisting with shipping/receiving tasks. Applicants must be 18+, legally eligible to work in the U.S., and have at least 1 year of manufacturing/distribution

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Minimum one (1) year of work experience in a manufacturing or distribution facility.

Responsibilities

• Clean Process Vessels
• Perform drum/tote offs when necessary
• Load recycling trailers
• Manually clean pumps, tanks, valves and related parts
• Operate heavy cleaning equipment as needed
• Identify cleaning problems and determine remedies
• Work a 12-hour day schedule
• Follow safety rules and participate in the plant safety program
• Support filling department by providing packaging and taking away finished goods
• Assist with daily tasks within shipping & receiving
• Be certified by the Company to operate forklift and equipment safely
• Perform housekeeping duties and keep area/equipment clean
• Follow MCP program requirements
• Repack raw materials for shipment
• Handle hazardous waste per procedures and regulations
• Comply with EHS regulations including RCRA
• Maintain ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 certifications
• Hazardous Waste Handler responsibilities including waste labeling, containment, and emergency procedures
• Provide initial and annual refresher hazardous waste training
