Job summary

Brenntag North America, Inc. is seeking a BNA Project Engineer to provide facility and process troubleshooting, design, and project support across Brenntag facilities in the U.S.

You will help improve safety, efficiency, asset integrity, and product quality while leading project scope and ROI verification. The role requires a BS in Engineering and 2+ years in chemical manufacturing; proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Visio is a plus, with strong communication and OSHA/NFPA awareness.

Qualifications

• Must have a BS in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years relative experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
• Ability to oversee and manage complex service and repair work of diverse types of electrical and plant equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, sketches, and drawings.
• Operate a computer and various specified software programs.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Must possess or qualify for a TWIC card.
• Must successfully pass background check and drug screen.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant software.
• Auto CAD and MS Vizio experience and proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day and long-term process support and process optimization across facilities.
• Lead project layout, scope, adherence to CAPEX budgets, and ROI verification.
• Review operating procedures to verify standards and safety; modify as needed.
• Ensure operators are trained and certified for standards.
• Audit manufacturing, blending and distribution processes for Brenntag standards.
• Coordinate with QHSE and external resources as needed.
• Assist with safety, compliance and regulatory needs for facilities.
• Support procurement with equipment and material costs reduction and ROI.
