Job summary

CF Industries in Donaldsonville, LA seeks a senior process engineer to support safe, efficient generation of nitrogen fertilizers. You will work with Operations, Maintenance and EHS to optimize processes, analyze data, and drive improvements across units.

Responsibilities include monitoring performance, collecting data, preparing PFDs/ P&IDs, and supporting capital projects while training staff on changes and procedures. Strong communication and TWIC-ready in a chemical facility are required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• Seven or more years of engineering experience in chemical manufacturing preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor plant performance including efficiency, capacity, yields, and safety.
• Collect field data to ensure accurate results and support decisions.
• Provide process optimization, troubleshooting, and data analysis for operations.
• Lead or support MOC processes and capital projects to increase capacity and efficiency.
• Prepare and review PFDs, P&IDs, scopes of work, and equipment specs for projects.
• Train operations personnel on significant changes and new procedures.
• Support PHAs, LOPA studies, and incident investigations.
• Assist during turnarounds with planning and equipment inspections.
• Drive site safety improvements and adherence to CF Operating Standards.
