Job summary
AdvanSix in Richmond, VA is seeking a manufacturing operator to control caprolactam processing steps from hydrolysis to drying, and to support utilities and safety procedures in a fast-paced facility. The role requires a high school diploma or technical degree, and 3+ years of manufacturing experience with comfort working rotating shifts. Proficiency with computers and ability to pass background/drug tests are required.
Qualifications
Minimum high school diploma/GED.
3+ years of manufacturing experience or an Associate’s Degree or higher in a technical or science related field.
Willing and able to work an 8-hour rotating shift that includes holidays, weekends, and overtime.
Proficiency with a computer (Word, Excel).
Must pass background check and drug test.
Responsibilities
Maintain control of the conversion of caprolactam through hydrolysis and polycondensation, extrusion, leaching, and drying, finishing into blending and packaging.
Monitor multiple utility systems to support operation areas.
Watch control information and adjust equipment to meet quality standards and SOPs.
Uphold safety standards and initiate emergency procedures when needed.
Prevent spills and protect the environment.
Perform minor maintenance tasks.
Assist with additional duties as required.
