Job summary

AdvanSix is hiring for a manufacturing operator to manage caprolactam hydrolysis and poly condensation processes, extrusion, leaching and drying, and final blending and packaging at our facility.

The role requires 3+ years in manufacturing, a high school diploma or technical degree, and the ability to work an 8-hour rotating shift including holidays and weekends. Proficiency with Excel/Word and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years manufacturing experience or technical degree.
• Willing to work 8-hour rotating shifts including holidays, weekends and overtime.
• Proficient with Word and Excel.
• Must pass background check and drug test.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work with hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

• Control the conversion of caprolactam through hydrolysis and poly condensation, extrusion, leaching, and drying, finishing into blending and packaging.
• Maintain control of multiple utility systems to support the operation areas.
• Monitor control information for an area and adjust equipment to ensure quality and conformance with SOPs.
• Maintain safety standards at all times and follow emergency procedures when necessary.
• Responsible for preventing spills and adhering to our commitment to protect the environment.
• Perform minor maintenance work.
• Additional responsibilities as needed.
