Job summary

Umicore Specialty Materials Louisiana is seeking a Chemical Operator to manufacture, package, and label naphthenic chemical products at the Louisiana facility. You will prepare materials for production, sample for QC, and ensure proper packaging and labeling for shipment.

Two rotating shifts (5AM-1PM, 1PM-9PM) five days a week, weekends off. A high school diploma or GED is required; an Associate Process Technology degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a verifiable high school diploma or GED.
• Strong math and measurement skills are needed.
• Ability to periodically lift up to 70 lbs and wear a respirator.
• Associate Process Technology degree preferred but not required with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare chemicals for manufacturing and initiate manufacturing process.
• Sample and perform quality control tests.
• Package, label, and prepare products for shipment.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks.
• Other duties as needed.
