## Chemical OperatorApply: On Site: Rock Hill, SC: Full time: Posted 2 Days Ago: REQ03173**Job Responsibilities**The Chemical Operator is responsible for maintaining safety, plant production, operating efficiency and regulatory compliance* Follows and encourages others to follow all organizational safety rules and practices.* Fosters & maintains a positive work environment.* Performs basic tasks interacting with pumps, pipes, valves, and HMIs to prepare and charge material into the manufacturing batch process.* Operates a forklift to load/unload trailers and transport materials.* Performs basic lab testing.* Counts and report inventory daily and assist monthly inventory counts.* Folows and perform lock out tag out (LOTO) for maintenance work on equipment.* Maintain work area in a clean, organized, and safe environment.* Maintain accurate records including batch sheets, lab data entries, and shift turnover documents.* Recommends methods to improve production methods and equipment.* Assists others in troubleshooting problems.* Performs other duties as assigned.**Candidate Qualifications/ Requirements*** Basic computer literacy.* Strong mechanical aptitude.* Previous chemical plant experience preferred.* Ability to climb steps, stairs, and ladders on a repetitive basis.* Basic computer literacy.* Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations necessary for position’s essential duties.* Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.* Ability to follow instructions and work independently* Reliable transportation for attendance required.* Dependability and Punctuality are key ingredients to be successful in this position.*Koppers Inc. and its subsidiaries are equal opportunity employers.
