Job summary

FUCHS Lubricants Co. in Kansas City, KS is seeking a Chemical Operator to join a fast-paced, safety‑first team. You will blend raw materials, operate mixers and pumps, and ensure product quality through precise batch work.

You will input material movements in SAP, handle forklifts, and maintain clean, compliant processes in a facility that values initiative and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (technical experience a plus!).
• 3+ years in manufacturing preferred
• Experience with compounding, blending, or mixing required
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working in varying temperatures
• Basic computer skills (SAP, MS Office)
• A self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in varying temperatures, from hot to cold.

Responsibilities

• Always wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Safely operate forklifts or pallet jacks to retrieve and move packaging materials.
• Blend raw materials into high-quality products based on precise customer specs.
• Follow detailed batch instructions to ensure consistency and quality.
• Operate mixers, pumps, and mills through analog and HMI controls.
• Use an RF Scanner and SAP to input material movements and manage inventory.
• Load and unload bulk tanker trucks and operate a spotter truck.
• Label and fill packaging items in compliance with company, DOT, and OSHA standards.
• Accurately measure and weigh chemicals into designated containers following instructions.
• Complete batch tickets and manufacturing logs to ensure compliance with policies.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area at all times.
• Report damaged or missing inventory to supervisors promptly.
• Support other duties and special projects as assigned.

FUCHS offers competitive pay commensurate with experience in a similar position. The range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00 per hour, but actual compensation will vary depending upon a new hire’s experience and qualifications as well as internal equity.
