Job summary

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; basic mathematical abilities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; SAP and PLC experience desired.
  • Experience with lab testing equipment and lab safety.
  • Two years of manufacturing/warehousing experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication; analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the process via manual or automated controls and adjust as needed.
  • Make physical and mathematical adjustments to maintain quality and output.
  • Perform lab testing for in-process and finished products.
  • Document test results, process parameters and environmental regulatory requirements.
  • Handle packaging requirements including filling, palletizing and warehousing.
  • Operate a forklift for loading/unloading trucks.
  • Comply with all health, safety and environmental regulations and site policies.
  • Perform housekeeping and complete environmental data gathering as needed.
  • Take on other duties as assigned.

Job Description

This position is responsible for producing and packaging finished silica gel products per customer specifications from incoming raw materials. Operate the process in compliance with all health, safety and environmental rules and regulations.

  • Monitor the process through manual and/or automated control panel adjustments
  • Make necessary adjustments (physical and mathematical) to the process to maintain quality product and output.
  • Perform lab testing for in-process and finished products
  • Document all test results, process parameters and adjustments and environmental regulatory requirements
  • Perform all packaging requirements including filling, palletizing and warehousing of finished product.
  • Operation of forktruck to include loading and unloading of trucks.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations and requirements.
  • Comply with company policies and site work rules.
  • Perform needed housekeeping functions
  • Complete environmental data gathering, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Basic mathematical abilities and skills.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Outlook, and Word). SAP and PLC experience is desired but not essential.
  • Experience with lab testing equipment and general lab safety.
  • Previous manufacturing/warehousing experience (2 years).
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Manufacturing plant that operates 24/7/365
  • Ability to work 12 hour/rotating shifts (monthly)
  • Ability to work OT, as required
  • Ability to work in non-temperature controlled environment
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs

  • Participation in risk assessment audits as applicable
  • Understand PQ Principles (PQP) and how they are implemented in the site organization, rules and procedures
