Job description

Chemical Operator

Automation Personnel Services is seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Chemical Operator for a manufacturing company in Alpharetta, GA. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity for individuals interested in hands-on chemical processing work with room to grow. Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour, with potential increases based on experience.

Schedule and Hours: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Chemical Operator Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor chemical processing and packaging equipment for products including Cyanoacrylate adhesives, photopolymer resins, and blended chemicals.
  • Set up, monitor, and complete production batches while handling raw materials, intermediates, and final products accurately and safely.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all production processes and quality checks per FDA and internal requirements.
  • Perform equipment cleaning and upkeep, and report inventory or supply shortages as needed.
  • Properly handle, store, and dispose of chemicals and waste materials; educate others on safe handling practices when needed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and participate in special projects as assigned.
  • Follow safety procedures and regulatory standards, including FDA, OSHA, EPA, and cGMP guidelines.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing or process operation environment.
  • Proven experience operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining chemical processing and packaging equipment.
  • Strong math and measurement skills, including ability to calculate formulas, convert units, and follow batch records precisely.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Drug screening and background check required at hire.
