Job summary

Thatcher Chemical in Missoula, Montana is seeking a Chemical Mix Operator to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for production, blending, loading and unloading of plant chemicals at the Missoula plant, on a 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM, Monday–Friday shift.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, ability to read/write/speak English, and the capacity to work in extreme conditions with lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language well. This is a safety as well as an operational issue.
• Aptitude to follow written and verbal instructions in detail and learn additional skills with experience.
• Capacity to work in extreme conditions (temperature) and lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Flexibility to work varying hours or shiftsif necessary.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, including the use of tools and equipment, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce and mix chemicals as needed
• Understand and operate plant equipment and processes
• Load and unload tanks, rail cars, tanker trailers, and all other containers
• Regularly lift50 pounds
• Operate pumps, mixers, and blenders
• Operate forklift
• Keep work area clean
