Job summary

Madden Industrial Craftsmen, Portland, OR, seeks a Material Handler to support production and warehouse operations with strong attention to detail and safe material handling.

The role involves pulling materials to daily production, staging and distributing, operating forklifts and barcode scanners, and using ERP/inventory software.

Must have 2+ years of material handling experience, Hazmat training within 90 days, and ability to lift up to 70 lbs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years material handling experience in an industrial production or warehouse environment with forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and stretch-wrap machines.
• At least 1 year using ERP or inventory management software, plus MS Word, Excel, and Teams.
• Must complete Hazmat training per DOT 49 CFR 172.704 within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math skills.
• Physically able to lift/move up to 70 lbs., stand/walk for long periods, in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Review production schedules, bills of material, and job sheets to pull materials needed for daily production.
• Stage and distribute materials to support continuous production during the shift.
• Coordinate material swaps with supervisors and operators across stations.
• Move chemical drums using a drum lifter attachment.
• Operate stretch-wrapping equipment and scanning software to meet packaging requirements and store products.
• Use a desktop to locate materials, research inventory issues, and provide daily passdowns to the next shift.
• Utilize a barcode scanner to document product movements.
