Job summary

Carus Group is seeking a Chemical Manufacturing Operations Supervisor to lead phosphate production, ensuring safety, quality, and reliability. You will coach technicians, build a high-performing team, and drive continuous improvement across plant operations.

Reporting to the Phosphates Plant Manager, you’ll coordinate maintenance, push process improvements, and collaborate with maintenance, QA, and engineering to meet production targets while upholding environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Technical degree related to chemical manufacturing or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years supervisory experience in chemical manufacturing or similar industrial env.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience leading safe work practices and EH&S compliance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and plant systems/databases.
• Experience with process improvement, root cause analysis, or reliability initiatives.
• Knowledge of RCMS, ISO, quality systems, or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience supporting capital projects, equipment commissioning, or production trials.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily plant operations to meet safety, quality, production, and reliability objectives.
• Develop, coach, and support Phosphates Technicians to build a skilled, engaged, and accountable workforce.
• Champion safety, environmental, and compliance initiatives through training, audits, investigations, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Drive operational excellence by monitoring plant performance, identifying root causes, and implementing process improvements that reduce downtime and loss.
• Coordinate maintenance priorities, capital projects, equipment commissioning, and cross-functional initiatives that strengthen plant performance.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Phosphates Plant Manager, the Phosphates Production Supervisor will play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations while developing a high-performing team and delivering production results.

THE QUALIFICATIONS

What you bring:

• Technical degree related to chemical manufacturing or equivalent chemical manufacturing experience.
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a chemical manufacturing or similar industrial environment.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience leading safe work practices and driving EH&S compliance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to work within plant systems and operational databases.
• Experience with process improvement, root cause analysis, or reliability initiatives.
• Knowledge of RCMS, ISO, quality systems, or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience supporting capital projects, equipment commissioning, or production trials.
