Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Chemical Loader to handle loading and unloading of liquids, including chemicals and liquid petroleum products, into various containers. The role requires adherence to safety procedures, PPE usage, and accurate handling per loading instructions.

Qualified candidates will have a TWIC Card and Driver's License, with 1+ years in an industrial setting preferred. Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• No minimum education required; PTEC degree preferred.
• A valid TWIC Card and Driver's License.
• 1+ years' experience in an Industrial setting preferred.
• Must be able to work legally in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Load chemicals into or from tanks, trailers, rail cars or other containers.
• Follow proper procedures for loading or onloading of chemicals and use required PPE.
• Verify tank car numbers with loading instructions for correct placement by crew.
• Connect ground cable to carry off static electricity.
• Operate pumps or valves to move liquids; open/close spouts as needed.
• Inspect interior for cleanliness and exterior for leaks or damage.
• May inspect components and replace defective parts; test for leaks as required.
• Assist with unloading cars by connecting hoses and attaching domes.
• Comply with safety, quality and productivity standards at all times.
