Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking Engineering Interns to perform tasks applying standard engineering techniques and assist lead engineers with project duties across market segments. You will contribute to design updates and learn through hands-on exposure to real projects in a collaborative environment.

The role emphasizes strong communication, analytical skills, and a proactive, self-motivated approach. ABET accreditation is preferred, and prior internship experience is a plus as you gain

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field from a recognized, accredited program required.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities or organizations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks requiring the application of standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Assist lead engineers with various project duties and update designs.
• Contribute to project work across market segments such as Oil, Gas & Chemical.
