Job summary

Bayer CropScience Limited is seeking a Chemical Engineering Co-Op in Chesterfield, MO to support capital projects and continuous improvement at manufacturing sites. You will work under experienced engineers and contribute to project design, drawings, and commissioning.

Applicants must be pursuing a Chemical Engineering undergrad (junior/senior) and demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork. Compensation includes hourly pay with potential bonuses and standard benefits.

Chemical Engineering Co-Op

In this role, you will work under the guidance and assistance of experienced engineers to support capital project execution and continuous improvement efforts for manufacturing sites.

Co-op Program Dates

• Spring Co-op: January 11, 2027 – June 11, 2027
• Fall Co-op: May 17, 2027 or June 14, 2027 – December 10, 2027

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate as a project team member for low to medium complexity capital projects;
• Assist in the development of project design requirements and assemble estimate information;
• Support design package development, including drawings, process information, vendor data, and specifications;
• Support project commissioning and checkout;
• Assist in engineering efforts to support plant operations.

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required:

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering;
• Candidates should be in their junior or senior year of an accredited degree program;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills;
• Strong problem-solving skills;
• High degree of personal initiative;
• Excellent organization and planning skills;
• Ability to work effectively on a team and in a diverse environment.

Employees can expect to be paid an hourly rate of approximately between $24.00 to $45.50. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits may include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. (if relevant). This salary (or salary range) is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
