Placements24 is seeking a creative and analytical Chemical Engineer to join its R&D team. The role is fully remote, supporting innovation that scales laboratory findings to pilot levels and drives industry-impacting projects from any location.

You will design experiments, analyze results, and model process behavior while collaborating with a cross-disciplinary team to advance cutting-edge R&D initiatives. A strong background in kinetics, thermodynamics, and process simulation is essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering or related field
• 3–7 years of experience in chemical process R&D, development or scale-up
• Proficiency in experimental design, data analysis, and process simulation tools
• Strong understanding of reaction kinetics, thermodynamics and separation processes
• Excellent problem-solving and communication for remote collaboration

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct experiments to develop and optimize new chemical processes and formulations
• Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and develop models to understand process behavior
• Perform scale-up studies from bench to pilot plant and resolve technical challenges
• Collaborate with R&D chemists, materials scientists and engineers to advance projects
• Prepare technical reports, patent disclosures and presentations of research findings
• Maintain a safe and organized laboratory environment following safety protocols
