Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a full-time clinician for behavioral health, responsible for conducting therapy sessions and developing treatment plans. Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field, along with four years of experience in clinical substance abuse counseling.

Qualifications

Pay Range

$26.55 - $39.85

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field of study with four years' experience in clinical substance abuse counseling and education required. Experience in research and education preferred.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION

Certified in counseling substance abuse patients (Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker).

Essential Functions

• Functions as a clinician in the counseling of patients by conducting evening therapy sessions, and developing treatment plans. Obtains authorizations from managed care organizations to assure reimbursement.
• Coordinates and/or implements all operational policies and procedures related to the functioning of the program.
• Represents the program to all related managed care companies and organizations. Establishes external contacts where chemical dependency health education services are needed.
• Identifies, investigates and resolves client-related problems. Responsible for maintaining high clinical quality and outcomes of the program.
• Participates in departmental teaching and research activities as appropriate.
• Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong computer skills including use of word processing and spreadsheet programs
