Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies in South Windsor, CT, seeks a shop technician to vapor-degrease parts and panels before coating and to run chemical conversion coating (Type I & II) on aluminum components.

You will rack, rinse, water-break, dry, and document on the process sheet, while maintaining baths, PPE, and cell cleanliness for a smooth shift handoff. The role includes on-the-job training toward shop certification; ITAR awareness and background check are required.

Qualifications

• ITAR awareness and export-control compliance required.
• Full-shift standing and safety/compliance expected.

Responsibilities

• Vapor-degrease parts and panels before coating (and standalone cleans).
• Run chemical conversion coating (Type I & II) on IVD aluminum-coated parts.
• Rack, rinse, water-break, dry, and document on the process sheet.
• Maintain baths, PPE, and cell cleanliness; hand off status at shift change.
