Job summary

Leggett Dynamics in Morris, Illinois, seeks a hands-on manufacturing technician to support chemical blending and packaging operations on site. This role involves moving skids of chemicals, identifying substances, weighing with scales, labeling containers, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

You will operate the Henschel blender, fill the feeder system, and calculate batch requirements per work order while following PPE guidelines and ISO9001 processes.

Responsibilities

• Use of hand truck to move skids of chemicals
• Capable of identifying different types of chemicals
• Fill and operate the feeder system at the Henschel blender and small adds station
• Operate the Henschel blender to mix chemical blends
• Use the digital scales for weighing chemicals
• Determine which Henschel blend is needed per work order and calculate batches
• Determine which small adds are needed per work order and calculate bags
• Know the proper use of all Personal Protective Equipment required for this position
• Properly label all containers of chemicals
• Keep work area clean and free of safety hazards
• Commitment to ISO9001 and Continuous Improvement
• Identify and/or record any problems relating to the product, process and the quality system
