Job summary

Arclin USA in Dodson, LA, is seeking a Production Operator E for an entry‑level, full‑time role reporting to the Production Supervisor. You will perform tasks in manufacturing and processing of resins and formaldehyde, adhering to HSE policies to keep operations safe and efficient.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Forklift experience preferred; certification possible.

  • Previous chemical/processing experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manufactures resin and formaldehyde per procedures and HSE regulations.
  • Loads and unloads raw materials and finished products.
  • Operates forklift for material handling.
  • Coordinates with management to meet production and shipping schedules.
  • Ensures shipping documents and regulatory compliance.
  • Participates in the Joint Health and Safety Committee.
  • Follows site rules for quality, health, safety and environment.
  • Monitors processes and reports deviations.
  • Works with Lead Operator to meet production and maintenance goals.
  • Communicates with staff to resolve conditions affecting safety and quality.
  • Responds to process alarms and takes corrective actions.
  • Performs In-Process Checks using GC, titrator, pH meter.
  • Troubleshoots process deviations.

Production Operator E Job

Arclin USA is looking for a Production Operator E for our Dodson, LA. Reporting into the Production Supervisor, this position is an entry‑level, full‑time position, and the Operator is responsible for performing tasks and duties pertaining to the manufacturing and processing of resins and formaldehyde. This role is required to know and perform all assigned production department functions in compliance with HSE – Health, Safety and Environmental regulations and Arclin’s policies and procedures to contribute positively to an efficient and safely run operation.

Production Operator E Job Responsibilities
  • Manufactures resin and formaldehyde and/or related surfaces according to established procedures and HSE regulations.
  • Unloads and loads raw materials and finished products following established procedures (tanker trailers, railcars, box trucks, and bulk trucks).
  • Operates a forklift to load/unload raw materials (drums, totes, bags).
  • Collaborates with management to meet the production and shipping schedule.
  • Ensures required shipping documents are completed and procedures are followed to be in compliance with all regulations and corporate requirements.
  • Participates in the Joint Health and Safety Committee to facilitate safety improvements.
  • Follows all site rules and procedures as they apply to quality, health, safety, and the environment.
  • Visually monitors processes within their area of accountability and immediately informs the Lead Operator of any deviations or abnormalities.
  • Works in close coordination with the Lead Operator to accomplish the tasks needed to safely and efficiently meet production and maintenance schedules across all processes.
  • Communicates and confers with the Lead Operator as well as with Technical, Supervisory, and Support Personnel to resolve process conditions affecting safety, efficiency, and product quality.
  • Responds to process alarms and interlocks promptly and coordinates timely confirmation and corrective actions to resolve conditions generating the alarms and interlocks.
  • Performs In-Process Checks (IPC’s) to verify batch progression and quality using laboratory equipment (GC, Titrator, pH meter, etc.).
  • Performs troubleshooting in the event of process deviations.
Production Operator E Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma Required or GED.
  • Forklift experience a plus but must be able to become certified.
  • Capable of driving a tractor/tanker unit or being able to learn.
  • Analytical and mechanical mindset needed to be successful in this role.
  • Previous chemical/processing experience a plus.
  • Must be okay with rotating shifts (Days/Nights/Evenings rotating every week).
  • Must be okay with following strict health and safety guidelines and wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk and climb frequently working in elevated areas.
  • Will lift an average of 50 lbs frequently.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • DCS Distributed Control Systems experience a plus.
  • Basic math skills required including the use of a calculator.
