Job summary

Ultipro is seeking a team member to perform essential duties in a regulated lab environment. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months of related experience, plus strong language and math skills.

The individual will adhere to safety protocols, handle general equipment, and support environmental regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include performing standard tests, maintaining accurate records, and working with team members on projects to ensure quality and safety in daily

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, policies, and procedures. Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, or employees.
  • Math Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, whole numbers, fractions, & decimals.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts.
  • The employee frequently works near and/or exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • The noise level in the work environment is typically loud.
  • Conducts tests and field investigations to obtain data in determining sources and methods of controlling pollutants in air, water, and soil ensuring all city, state, and federal environmental regulations are met.
  • Conducts chemical laboratory tests, according to work instructions, to determine characteristics of solid or liquid substances.
  • Prepare chemical samples, test for appropriate chemical concentrations, and record data on proper forms.
  • Operate filter press to remove solids from waste water.
  • Operate forklift as needed.
  • May operate acid recovery unit for the removal of ferrous sulfate from acid.
  • May maintain process tanks to ensure proper concentrations and temperatures.
  • May perform other duties as required or requested
  • May participate on project teams as requested
  • Keeps work area clean and orderly.
  • Responsible for conducting all work in a safe manner.
