Job description

Valence Surface Technologies is a full-service surface finishing company specializing in the commercial aerospace, defense, space and satellite industries. With ten strategically located sites across the United States, Valence provides a start to finish solution from NDT and chemical processing, to paint and sub-assembly.

Position Summary:

Responsible for ensuring that the production process is run in a smooth and rapid manner.

Responsibilities:

  1. Process parts in chemical tanks according to specifications, work order and other requirements.
  2. Calculate the appropriate amount of time needed to process parts.
  3. Remove parts from tank after specified time, rinse parts, and immerse them in bath before finishing processing.
  4. Complete paperwork as required by company and processing guidelines.
  5. Oversee and assist all line assistants to optimize throughput.
  6. Evaluate and log all preventative maintenance on processing line.
  7. Ensure all hazardous waste material is disposed of correctly.
  8. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience a plus, preferably in the aerospace industry.
  2. Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  3. High school diploma or equivalent.
  4. Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.
