Job summary

Bruker OST in Carteret, NJ, is seeking a Chemical Cleaning Technician to perform chemical batch preparation and etch cleaning of components used in superconducting wire production. You will closely follow written work instructions and maintain manufacturing process documentation to ensure quality and safety.

Due to the role’s hazardous materials, you will wear a full Tyvek suit, safety glasses, face shield, and gloves.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience working with chemicals in a lab/ manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in communicating in English (reading and writing).
• Ability to read and interpret procedures and calibrated equipment.
• Ability to read and understand safety operating procedures and use safety equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle hazardous chemicals safely.

Responsibilities

• Proficiently use measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.
• Assist in the assembly of etched cleaned parts in a clean room.
• Assist in development and revision of etch cleaning procedures as needed.
• Maintain well organized manufacturing paperwork.
• Support and help improve Lean manufacturing practices.
• Work with the team and with minimal supervision at times.
• Overtime as the production schedule requires.
