Job Description

Under general supervision, the Host/Cashier greets and seats restaurant guests, controls flow, and participates in the Ladies & Gents of Belterra Park program, representing the Boyd Gaming brand through hosting, entertainment routines, modeling, and PR activities.

1. Deliver exceptional guest service in line with the Boyd Gaming Way: be friendly, polite, sincere, knowledgeable, and responsive.
2. Familiarize with all Boyd Gaming outlets, functions, and answer general property questions.
3. Maintain a professional appearance according to the Ladies & Gents of Belterra Park standards.
4. Participate in modeling, TV, radio, print ads, and public relations activities.
5. Perform entertainment routines at designated locations.
6. Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly.
7. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the entry area.
8. Coordinate with service staff to provide high-quality service.
9. Greet, seat, and inform guests about specials and menu items.
10. Assist in table maintenance and cleanliness.
11. Manage reservation system and ensure supplies are stocked.
12. Set up and maintain dining areas according to standards.
13. Handle payments accurately via POS system.
14. Wear special event uniforms during holidays and special occasions.
15. Participate in event preparations and off-site activities.
16. Know table/seat/station numbers, hours, and dress code.
17. Provide responsible alcohol service, adhering to regulations and preventing over-service.
18. Follow health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation.
19. Maintain equipment and work areas in a sanitary and safe manner.
20. Attend scheduled training programs.
21. Perform opening, closing, and side duties as assigned.
22. Report tips accurately and complete necessary training.
23. Handle difficult guests professionally and work harmoniously with colleagues.
24. Follow SOPs to ensure consistent service quality.
