Job description

Job Responsibilities
  1. Attracts and retains staff, maintains a cooperative relationship with team members, optimizes staff productivity, and serves as a replacement in team members' absence.
  2. Sets and monitors performance standards for staff, including hand hygiene and equipment cleanliness.
  3. Trains staff to use new recipes, techniques, and equipment, and oversees food preparation by cooks.
  4. Manages the culinary team to ensure quality in the final presentation of food.
  5. Trains and manages culinary and kitchen employees to use best practices in food production techniques.
  6. Coaches employees by creating a shared understanding of goals and methods to achieve them.
  7. Rewards and recognizes employees.
  8. Plans and executes team meetings and daily huddles.
  9. Maintains staff records, including training, shift checklists, and performance data.
  10. Performs inventory management, purchase orders, and oversees the delivery of food supplies, including preparing special dishes and supervising overall kitchen operations to ensure promptness, freshness, and quality.
  11. Responsible for achieving food and labor targets.
  12. Understands and utilizes performance metrics, data, and trends to focus on margin improvement.
  13. Obtains feedback on food and service quality and handles customer and patient concerns and complaints.
  14. Possesses high-volume cooking experience, including bulk and batch cooking.
Qualifications
