AVI Foodsystems is seeking an energetic Chef Manager for a full-time, first-shift role with no evenings, weekends, or holidays. The position pays $26.50/hr and requires leadership of cooks and staff in a high-quality food service operation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of food service chef/management experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proven ability to meet and manage budget goals.
• Experience directing cooks and other team members.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and direct the work of cooks and team members in food preparation and serving.
• Assist in budget estimates and justification for the food service program.
• Plan and direct ordering, receiving and accounting of food supplies and equipment.
• Evaluate methods to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the food service program.
• Interview, select, manage and develop hourly team members.
• Oversee food safety to comply with regulations.
• Develop and enforce policies and procedures for the program.
