Job summary

Compass Group USA is seeking a Chef Manager to lead culinary and food service operations for our contract dining teams. You will oversee kitchen operations, inventory, ordering, and staff scheduling to deliver high-quality meals and service.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of culinary management experience in contract foodservice or fine dining, with strong knowledge of HACCP, cost controls, menu development, and sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must have working knowledge of HACCP
• Three years of culinary management experience in contract foodservice, fine dining or restaurants with inventory and purchasing knowledge

Responsibilities

• Full culinary management of food service operation including inventory, ordering and receiving
• Knowledge of P&L accountability; contract-managed service experience desirable
• Proficient in menu development, cost controls, purchasing and inventory with focus on local products
• Promote sustainability and leadership; supervise kitchen staff and scheduling
• Oversee staff recruitment, onboarding and training for new employees
• Foster positive work environment; address employee concerns and collaborate with HR
