Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Team-oriented environment and effective communication skills.
• High school diploma/GED required.
• Associate degree in culinary arts or Hospitality Management preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of successful food service production management experience.
• Knowledge of hospital food service and nutrition operations.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating procedures, and write routine reports.
• Proficient with MS Excel and Word; ServSafe certification within one month of hire.

Responsibilities

• Directs preparation of all food by the kitchen staff.
• Follows standardized recipes, portioning, diet modifications, and presentation standards.
• Oversees daily purchasing, inventory, and production worksheets; manages waste logs.
• Ensures quality and quantity meet established standards.
• Ensures proper food handling, storage, and safety; supervises special diets.
• Trains kitchen staff in preparation, safety, and sanitation per standards.
• Maintains a clean, sanitary working environment.
