Job description

Skybridge Luxury & Associates has partnered with an intimate luxury resort on the Northern Oregon Coast to identify an experienced and passionate Chef de Cuisine to lead its culinary program.

Set against one of the Pacific Northwest’s most dramatic coastal landscapes, this destination property is known for delivering a highly personalized guest experience rooted in local culture, seasonality, sustainability, and a strong sense of place.

The Chef de Cuisine will oversee the day-to-day culinary operation, leading a talented kitchen team and delivering a menu that celebrates the bounty of the Pacific Northwest. The culinary program emphasizes fresh seafood, locally sourced ingredients, regional farms and purveyors, seasonality, and thoughtful, approachable cuisine that reflects the Oregon Coast.

This is an excellent opportunity for a creative, hands-on culinary leader who wants to make an impact within an intimate luxury property where the food, guest experience, and surrounding destination are closely connected.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all day-to-day culinary operations while maintaining exceptional standards for quality, consistency, presentation, and execution
  • Develop and execute seasonal menus that highlight Pacific Northwest ingredients, local seafood, regional farms, and coastal influences
  • Work closely with local farmers, fishermen, producers, and purveyors to maintain a strong locally driven culinary program
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop a high-performing culinary team
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable kitchen culture
  • Maintain appropriate food and labor costs while protecting the quality of the guest experience
  • Oversee kitchen organization, sanitation, food safety, ordering, inventory, and operational standards
  • Collaborate closely with Food & Beverage and resort leadership to create memorable and personalized guest experiences
  • Remain highly visible and hands-on during service, setting the standard for the culinary team
Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a creative but grounded culinary leader who is passionate about ingredients, people, and place. This individual understands that luxury does not have to feel overly formal—the experience should be polished, thoughtful, authentic, and reflective of the destination.

We are particularly interested in candidates who bring:

  • Previous Chef de Cuisine or senior Sous Chef experience in a luxury hotel, resort, destination restaurant, or highly regarded independent restaurant
  • A strong background in seasonal, ingredient-driven, farm-to-table, Pacific Northwest, New American, or coastal cuisine
  • Excellent knowledge of seafood and locally sourced ingredients
  • Experience developing menus around seasonality and regional availability
  • A genuine interest in building relationships with local farms, fishermen, artisans, and purveyors
  • Strong leadership skills with a reputation for developing and retaining culinary talent
  • A collaborative leadership style and willingness to be actively involved in daily operations
  • Strong financial and operational understanding, including food cost, labor management, purchasing, and inventory
  • High standards for presentation, consistency, organization, and cleanliness
  • The creativity to evolve a culinary program while respecting the property's identity and connection to its surroundings
  • An appreciation for the lifestyle and unique environment of a small coastal destination community
What Makes This Opportunity Special

This is more than an opportunity to run a kitchen. It is a chance to lead a culinary experience that is deeply connected to the Oregon Coast and Pacific Northwest.

The right chef will have the opportunity to work with exceptional regional ingredients, build relationships within the local food community, develop a talented team, and create memorable dining experiences for guests traveling to one of the country's most beautiful coastal destinations.
