Job summary

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen in New York is seeking a part-time kitchen team member to prepare and cook chicken, seafood, fries, and other menu items according to recipes and safety standards.

Responsibilities include operating fryers, maintaining temps and portions, and keeping the station clean. Previous food-service experience is preferred but not required; starting immediately with a Sunday to Monday 7pm–4am schedule and pay of $17–$18 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or food-service experience is preferred but not required.
• Candidates should be dependable, punctual, willing to learn, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to stand for extended periods and safely handle hot oil, cooking equipment, and food products.

• Prepare and cook chicken, seafood, fries, and other menu items according to established recipes, quality standards, and food safety procedures.
• Operate fryers and other cooking equipment safely and correctly.
• Maintain proper cooking times, temperatures, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
• Monitor food levels and communicate with the kitchen team when additional preparation is needed.
• Follow food handling, storage, sanitation, labeling, dating, and rotation procedures.
• Keep cooking equipment, workstations, utensils, and kitchen areas clean and organized.
• Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining accuracy and food quality.
• Communicate effectively with team members, cashiers, and management.
• Report equipment problems or safety hazards to management and perform other duties as assigned.
