Job summary

Formaggio Kitchen, Inc. is seeking a full-time cheesemonger, preferably with supervisory experience, to work closely with our staff to provide delicious cheese and exceptional service.

You will have access to 200-300 cheeses and connections with producers worldwide, with growth potential including purchasing, travel, and staff development. The role requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends and offers a staff discount, health insurance contribution, 401K, sick time, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• History of providing excellent customer service.
• Equally exceptional skills in working with people of various backgrounds.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Drive to learn the extensive selection we have to offer.
• At least one year in a supervisory or managerial capacity in a specialty food retail or wholesale environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise cheesemonger staff and support team.
• Provide exceptional customer service and cheese recommendations.
• Assist customers with cheese selections and related products.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the cheese department.
• Work evenings and weekends as needed.
