Job summary

Albertsons Companies Inc. is seeking a Cheese Specialist who enhances the in-store cheese experience through product knowledge, customer interaction, and meticulous display maintenance.

You will cut and prepare cheeses, refresh displays, and ensure freshness while supporting engaging shopping experiences. You will be active in restocking, signage updates, and introducing new items in a fast-moving department.

Qualifications

• Customer interaction and clear communication when assisting with selection.
• Knowledge of cheese varieties, characteristics and pairings, with interest in expanding knowledge.
• Experience handling, cutting, and preparing food products to established standards.
• Accurate rotation, labeling, and presentation of products.
• Strong organization and time management for daily tasks and merchandising upkeep.
• Maintaining clean, organized, and visually consistent displays.
• Monitoring product levels, dates, and placing accurate orders.
• Participation in sampling efforts and seasonal merchandising activities.
• Knowledge of sanitation practices, temperature control, and handling standards.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 55 lbs.

As a Cheese Specialist, your day is centered around product knowledge, customer interaction, and maintaining a well-presented epicurean department. You’re the go‑to for great taste and even better pairings, helping customers explore cheeses while providing details that make selection easier. From answering questions to highlighting featured items, your role supports an engaging and informative shopping experience. A gouda part of the role is keeping everything fresh, inviting, and ready for what customers are craving next. You’ll cut and prepare cheeses with consistency, refresh displays so they stay full and appealing, and keep an eye on product rotation and quality throughout the day. Between restocking, updating signage, and introducing new items, there’s always something happening, which makes it a great fit for someone who enjoys staying active and keeping things looking their best in a fast-moving environment.
