Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Customer Service Associate for the Deli/Bakery department. You will deliver outstanding service, assist the department manager in achieving sales goals, and help keep a safe, clean, and engaging shopping environment for customers.

You will work closely with the Deli/Bakery Merchandising team to respond to customer questions, sample products, label and stock items, and ensure accurate portioning and food safety.

Responsibilities

• Gain and maintain knowledge of products in the department.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover items.
• Inform customers of Cheese Shop specials.
• Provide fresh products with correct portion sizes to prevent shrink.
• Prepare, package, label, and inventory ingredients.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report discrepancies in ordering/shipping to the manager.
• Maintain store layout awareness to locate products.
• Monitor ads and inventory conditions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain temperature logs.
• Notify management of accidents or safety risks.
