Gossner Foods, Inc. in Heyburn, ID, is seeking a Cheese Maker to join the Swiss Cheese production team. You will follow established recipes, operate specialized equipment, and ensure food safety and quality throughout the process.

This role offers reliable scheduling with a 6:00 pm to 6:00 am rotation, competitive pay, and a benefits package designed to support you and your family. You will work both independently and as part of a cohesive team, contributing to our production goals.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn internal systems.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Produce Swiss cheese in accordance with established formulas, processes, and quality standards.
• Operate, clean, and maintain cheese-making equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Accurately measure and manage ingredients while following precise recipes.
• Monitor production processes and make adjustments as needed to maintain product quality.
• Maintain detailed and accurate production records and documentation.
• Utilize computer systems and programs for data entry and process tracking.
• Identify and troubleshoot production or quality issues in a timely manner.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing to a team environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Position Summary

Gossner Foods is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cheese Maker to join our Swiss Cheese production team. This role is responsible for producing high-quality Swiss cheese by following established recipes, operating specialized equipment, and maintaining strict quality and food safety standards.

The ideal candidate is reliable, self-motivated, and takes pride in producing a consistent, high-quality product in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
• Experience in food production or dairy processing (preferred but not required)

Pay:

• $18.80 $19.30 DOE (Aggressive pay increases based on performance)
• This role is a high skilled level position, and with the inclusion of bonuses, annual total compensation can surpass $50K.

Schedule:

• 6:00 pm to 6:00 am (2/2/3 rotation)
• Scheduled hours are subject to variation under the discretion of the supervisor.
